Harmon Industries, Inc. Names New Executive Vice President
Blue Springs, Mo. (March 31, 1998) - Harmon Industries, Inc. today announced William P. Marberg as the company's new Executive Vice President System Sales & Support. His focus within Harmon will be continuing to develop and expand the company's vision and strategy in the international, transit and systems business areas.
Marberg most recently served as president and chief executive officer of Airsys ATM Inc. (formerly Wilcox Electric), the world's largest supplier of navigation and landing systems for commercial aviation. Airsys is also an industry leader in the use of Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) systems, which Harmon has implemented in a number of successful projects. Other positions held by Marberg include: Vice President, Air Traffic Control for Loral Defense System - Eagan; Associate, Jerry Thompson and Associates; Technical Director, Hughes Aircraft Company; and Group Leader, The Mitre Corporation.
Earning his doctorate in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie-Mellon University, he also holds a master of science in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University; a master of arts from University of Virginia and bachelor of arts in Humanities and Sciences (Physics) from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
