Harmon Announces New Vice President

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. (October 6, 1997) -- Harmon Industries Inc., named William L. Bush, P.E. as vice president, research and development engineering. Bush will be responsible for the management and coordination of Harmon's research and development engineering for the development of train control products and systems.

Bush has been with Harmon since 1993 as director of research and development, where he has managed technical and engineering support services groups and directed team development, application and training for the firm's Total Quality System (TQS), and application of its ISO 9001 Quality System for Design Control.

Prior to his employment at Harmon, he held several management positions with Xetron Corporation, and was a senior engineer for Cincinnati Electronics and an electrical engineer for NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center. His experience includes engineering design and development, project management and business development.

A licensed Professional Engineer, Bush received his bachelor of science in electrical engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and is a member of the Association of American Railroads (AAR).
